Up Coming Film, "The Interpreter" Inspired by Real Events Directed by Robert Ham
Up-Coming Film - Directed by Robert Ham A short film Inspired by Real Events about an Afghan interpreter working for the U.S. military who is hunted by the Taliban while seeking asylum.
I just wanted to share this with everybody,.. I was listening in on “Tipping Point“ with @boonecutler and he had Special Guest Robert Ham the Director of the new up-coming documentary "The Interpreter". This film raises the awareness that, Tens of Thousands Interpreters were left behind in Iraq and Afghanistan,.. In fact 6,000 of them are back logged in Afghanistan right now.
I’d encourage everyone to listen in as @boonecutler and Robert talk about the film. I personally was blown away,.. I had no knowledge of this. Bottom line,.. A lot of these Interpreters saved our warfighters lives… Might have even saved my Son’s life! Now they are left behind, left behind to be hunted down and killed by the enemy.
Next is truly an AMAZING story,.. U.S. Army Captain Matt Zeller, Afghan War Veteran, Co-Founder of No One Left Behind Life was saved by his translator. Captain Zeller spent 5 years fighting to get his translator asylum granted, so that he could come to America. Where he should have been 5 years ago!
CNN talks to U.S. Army Captain Matt Zeller about the plight of Afghan and Iraqi translators trying to get U.S. visas.
Support and share this with friends,..
No One Left Behind

A combat videographer, U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Robert Ham believes more than most in the power of film. Now he hopes his yet-to-be-made short film The Interpreter will have the power to save thousands of our Afghan allies from grisly deaths at the hands of the Taliban."
Robert Ham was featured for the "Project of the Month."
- “After Robert Ham was deployed in Afghanistan from 2009 to 2010, he realized that there was a serious issue facing some of the United States' biggest on-the-ground allies. The interpreters who had worked with American military forces had become the target of constant threats from the remnants of the preexisting Taliban regime. Those had done so much to help troops in the region were in sudden, desperate need of the same level of assistance.” Robert Ham joined No One Left Behind to welcome home an interpreter, Jack Jaan, Welcome Home to a 6 year veteran translator of the Afghan war - to his new home in America.
BIG Thanks,.. goes out to Boone Cutler for having Robert Ham as a guest,.. It was Enlightening!
